Welcome to my blog!

WELCOME EVERYONE!

I decided to create a blog since everyone is doing it! Just kidding! I created this blog to educate people on health and wellness topics that are important and applicable to them. My goal is to do at least 2 posts a month. I would like to begin this post by mentioning heart health since Valentine's Day is swiftly approaching.

Our heart is often overlooked on how hard it works to pump blood throughout our body every day, every hour, and every minute for all of our life. We see countless ads about our cholesterol, blood clots, heart attacks, and stroke in magazines, tv commericals, and documentaries; nonetheless, most often leave us little choices when it comes to natural prevention. What can we do? First we must understand how inflammation plays a huge role in cardiovascular function. If one decreases inflammation, their likelihood of heart disease, heart attack, and stroke deminsh greatly. Second, one must establish if homocysteine is present in the bloodstream. Homocysteine is a byproduct of our protein metabolism in the conversion of ammino acids to sulfates. Third, one must maintain adequate Co-enzyme Q 10 for heart function. Co-enzyme Q 10 is a necessary enzyme in the electron transport train in the heart. It helps to maintain the electrical impulses of the heart. I would recommend having your C-reactive protein, homocysteine, and cholesterol tested in a blood panel. Adding omega 3 essential fats are a must. Fish oil is a great source to decrease inflammation but make sure it is molecularly distilled by the company to clear them of PCB's, dioxins, and heavy metals. If your homocysteine is elevated vitamin B6, B12, folic acid, dimethyl glyceine, and molydenum will help to convert homocysteine and get it out of the blood. This is just a brief overview of what you can do to naturally prevent heart disease.

I did want to make my first post too long. I will be posting more information in the next couple of weeks so be sure to stay up to date.
